The Council has been promoted by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) with financial support by National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC).

SEEDAP(DDU-GKY)
Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) aims to skill rural youth who are poor and provide them with jobs having regular monthly wages or above the minimum wages.

Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) aims to skill rural youth who are poor and provide them with jobs having regular monthly wages or above the minimum wages. It is one of the cluster of initiatives of the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India that seeks to promote rural livelihoods. It is a part of the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) – the Mission for poverty reduction called Aajeevika. This scheme derives importance from its potential to reduce poverty. It is also designed to be a major contributor to the Prime Minister’s ‘Make in India‘ campaign.

PradhanMantriKaushalVikasYojana (PMKVY) is the flagship scheme of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE). The objective of this Skill Certification Scheme is to enable a large number of Indian youth to take up industry-relevant skill training that will help them in securing a better livelihood. Individuals with prior learning experience or skills will also be assessed and certified under Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).

The Govt. of AP has formed 7 different Missions to achieve double digit growth for the state and to make AP among the most developed state in the country.
ANDHRA PRADESH STATE SKILL DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION
The Govt. of AP has formed 7 different Missions to achieve double digit growth for the state and to make AP among the most developed state in the country. Among these, the Knowledge and Skills Mission has been formed to provide trained and skilled manpower to all other Missions. To bring the faster execution State Government Andhra Pradesh has established The Department of Skill Development, Entrepreneurship and Innovation (DSDEI) has been further created to coordinate and synergize skilling efforts of all departments. Under which APSSDC is formed.
Context
To target 20 million people in AP in next 15 years towards skilling and entrepreneurship to meet skilled human power demands of all Missions and shape AP as the skilled-workforce and knowledge hub for the world
Vision
To eliminate the poverty and create decent work for all by investing in the social capital through employment-oriented and industry aligned skill development and livelihood generation
Mission
Identify the gaps in the existing skills ecosystem and upgrade skills to international standards through significant industry involvement, develop necessary frameworks for quality assurance and establish state-of-art skill colleges across all MP Constituencies to redefine employability skills in the State of Andhra Pradesh.
Ensure the effectiveness of the different skill development programs conducted by state government departments, corporations, societies and agencies by convergence and standardization
Andhra Pradesh – Scenario
Andhra Pradesh has a population of 4.94 Crore as 10 populous state of country. The state has 13 districts, Andhra Pradesh is strategically located with a 974 km coastline, The state has 30 existing urban centers, 3 mega cities and 12 smart cities planned. Andhra Pradesh has a huge potential for the job market as the various industrial belts are been planned.
RPL
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is a platform to provide recognition to the informal learning or learning through work to get equal acceptance as the formal levels of education.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is a platform to provide recognition to the informal learning or learning through work to get equal acceptance as the formal levels of education. It aims to appreciate prior learning irrespective of the medium of achieving it. In short, RPL is a process of assessment of an individual’s prior learning to give due importance to learning as an outcome rather than learning as process.
MSME
Entrepreneurship promotion and development Programmes are being organized regularly to nurture the talent of youth by enlightening them on various aspects of industrial/business activity required for setting up MSEs.
Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises
Entrepreneurship promotion and development Programmes are being organized regularly to nurture the talent of youth by enlightening them on various aspects of industrial/business activity required for setting up MSMEs. These Programmes are conducted for youth and other people interested to set up their own industrial/self-employment venture. Such activities are also organized in ITIs, Polytechnics and other technical institutions/business schools, where skill/talent is available to motivate them towards self-employment.
Nature of assistance:
The following activities are conducted under the ESDP Scheme
1. Industrial Motivational Campaign (IMC) – Two days
2. Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme (EAP) – Two Weeks
3. Entrepreneurship-cum-Skill Development Programme (E-SDP) – Six Weeks
4. Management Development Programme (MDP) – One Week
Above mentioned activities/programmes will be conducted through Implementing Agencies (lAs) i.e. MSME-DIs & MSME-TCs under the Office of Development Commissioner(MSME); Ministries, Departments, organizations/, Corporations, PSUs, agencies under the administrative control of Central/State Governments, as approved by the Empowered Committee headed by AS & DC(MSME) from time to time. Respective lAs (other that MSME-Dls) will be responsible for submitting utilization certificates for grants/funds issued to them by the end of financial year. Overall 40% of the targeted beneficiaries of EAPs and E-SDPs should be Women.

As unemployment is increasing continuously. The Government is Unable to provide the Jobs as per the expectation of job seekers. Council is a work station where as on Entrepreneur create a lot of jobs for the seekers.

“To meet the demand for specific skills of a high order, a Public Private Partnership between Government and industry is proposed to promote skills development program under the name “Skill Development initiative…..”
Accordingly, Ministry of Labour& Employment undertook development of a new strategic framework for skill development for early school levers and existing workers, especially in the un-organized sector in close consultation with industry, micro enterprises in the un-organized sector, State Governments, experts and academia which were essential considering their educational, social and economic background.
Objectives of the Scheme
i. To provide vocational training to the people by optimally utilizing the infrastructure available in Govt., private institutions and industry. Existing skills of the persons can also be tested and certified under this scheme.
ii. To build capacity in the area of development of competency standards, courses curricula, learning material and assessment standards in the country.
Vocational Training Providers (VTPs)
The trainings under SDI scheme is provided by various Vocational Training Providers (VTPs) registered under Central Government,, State Governments public and private sector and industrial establishment/institutes etc., VTP’s provide counseling & vocational guidance, training facilities as per norms, impact quality training, post training support to trainees in getting employment.

National Digital Literacy Mission (‘NDLM’) has been initiated with the vision to empower at least one person per household with crucial digital literacy skills by 2020. This is expected to touch the lives of more than 250 million individuals over the next few years. NDLM is an effort to complement government’s vision to transform one from each household as digitally literate. The project aims at helping adults with low technological literacy develop the skills they need to interact in an increasingly digital world.
The National Digital Literacy Mission is a dynamic and integrated platform of digital literacy awareness, education and capacity programmes that will help rural communities fully participate in the global digital economy. Our focus is on making technology central to enabling change.
The various stakeholders for the Mission are: Government of India, working to extend the vision of a digital India by promoting e-governance and transform India into a connected knowledge economy.
Corporate partners, who through their sustained efforts with NDLM have been harnessing collective energies to bring down the divisive digital wall.
Implementation partners, who are empowering communities with capacity building and training programs through digital means.

The Andhra Pradesh Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board was established by the Government of Andhra Pradesh under Section 18 of Building & Other Construction Workers (RE&CS) Act, 1996 primarily for formulating and implementing the various Welfare schemes for the benefit of the Building & Other Construction Workers in the Andhra Pradesh. The Board has come into existence with effect from 30-04-2007.
The Andhra Pradesh Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board is a tripartite body consisting of worker representatives, employer representatives and Government officials.The Board has carried on extensive drives and registered more than 20 lakhs construction workers as beneficiaries and also formulated and have been implementing various schemes such as marriage gift, Maternity Benefit, Fatal Accident Relief, Disability Relief, Natural Death Relief, Hospitalisation relief, Funeral Expenses and Pension Scheme (NPS).
